It was something I had never heard in my room before. When I went from the sonarworks to the trinnov the most significantly recognizable change was how well I could hear the fundamental frequency of a kick drum. The difference between my behringer measurements were pretty far off in the bass in particular. The results matched the measurements taken by the trinnov installers extremely closely. I borrowed his mic and measured my room again but this time using it with the calibration file nunber. I went with the latter because as expensive as that system is, rebuilding my room was going to shut me down for a couple months and I might only be in this building for another year or so.Īnyway, after I got the trinnov system installed and setup, a friend got sonarworks with the mic included. After being unsatisfied by what I was getting I had two options: rebuild my room, or try a Trinnov. I used it for two years with my behringer mic measurements. Don't waste your time or money on sonarworks without a microphone with a calibration file you can enter into sonarworks on setup. The low end was all wrong with the behringer. I had a significantly different experience with sonarworks using one of their mics with a calibration file than using it with a behringer ecm6000 that I own.
